We are a well traveled people and know that good and bad come in all races and religions."
So what exactly is terrorism if it is indeed a very strange thing in Nigeria? The following definition is from Dictionary.com:
1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.
Am I to accept, for instance, that what is happening right now (and again) in Jos is not terrorism? I suggest that we leave the US alone and look within ourselves candidly. As far as I can see, Nigeria is rife with terrorism. If we should ignore the singular act of Faruk Mutallab, are we really underserving of the label which the US have put on us? Ask victims of the countless religious pogroms in some parts of the North.Anonymous[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8686769.post-36948141142541632822010-01-12T02:24:58.285+01:002010-01-12T02:24:58.285+01:00The real sad aspect off all this is that Nigerians...The real sad aspect off all this is that Nigerians are now being labeled as terrorists. Can you believe that?Anyone who knows Nigeria knows how ridiculous this is.Even in the Niger Delta those kidnapped are never killed. This kind of behaviour is alien to the Nigerian culture even for a northern muslim. Did anyone think that the reason why no-one took his father seriously is because Nigerian terrorists are unheard of. Nigerians are more concerned with education and trying to get ahead in life. Due to the situation back home we love to talk about politics, it perhaps is a national pastime. But behavior like this is un-Nigerian. I beg the US government not to waste it's resources focusing on Nigerians whilst real dangerous countries are overlooked. This guy is one in 140 million, a real unusual Nigerian. For my Nigerian brothers please be careful how we follow religion. Any god that asks you to kill is fake. We are a well traveled people and know that good and bad come in all races and religions. Never let yourself be brainwashed to hate one group and violence never pays. If one feels injustice remember enormous success is the greatest revenge. Education is the only way to create equality. Peace to Nigerians, Americans and the world, there is enough for everyone Say no to war;violence begets violence, so can we all just say no to violence.Anonymous[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8686769.post-40043200155938187552010-01-11T16:49:21.914+01:002010-01-11T16:49:21.914+01:00This is mutallacious.
