I found the opinion piece to a poorly veiled rant at the Obasanjo with Ezekwesili as the object of to discredit Obasanjo himself because the writer did not, as I understood him, say anything new. Rather he mixed questionable facts and innuendo to reach his conclusion without concern at tarnishing someone's else intergrity. It being clear that his beef is really with Obasanjo.

My point is that an opinion/a view or belief however strongly held should not be propagated as truth unless one is also providing evidence of such "truth". In essense a person intergrity ought be rubbished by mere say so.

A 'rant' you say, Oby a victim, you claim?

Haba! The fact is that 'due process' was always a smoke and mirrors exercise. 'Preferred bidders' would simply put in three bids under different names, with slightly different amounts.

Oby was just another tool used by the privatisation-as-panacea mob, proferring simplistic solutions to complex development challenges. The gameplan was to use govt funds to repair/restore public-owned entities, then flog them to hand-picked investors, who had the blessing of due process.
