At first, I soaked it all up (documentaries, travel/leisure shows, reality shows, business news, music videos, etc.) because I had such a thirst for something besides the typical reporting about war, AIDS, farmine, and poverty that the western media choses to focus on. I don't watch it as much anymore because my favorite show - Africa Report, a business news program is hardly ever on these days. I've told all my Naija friends about it and often refer my American friends to it so that they can find a different (i.e. somewhat positive, modern) view of Africa. One more thing, the content is very heavy on the South African side - from what I understand, they did that because the industry is pretty developed over there. I am sure with time, there'll be more from other parts of Africa. Still, I appreciate being able to turn on the television and stay on top of what's going on 'back home'.Gbemi's Piecehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03662989311073970132[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8686769.post-4331736377678165212007-04-14T00:32:00.000+01:002007-04-14T00:32:00.000+01:00RE: GTV, sorry to disappoint you, it won't actuall...RE: GTV, sorry to disappoint you, it won't actually be aired in Nigeria for a long while due to some restrictions. I believe the service will begin broadcasting in about 9 countries across Africa, with Kenya being one of the first.Anonymous[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8686769.post-4929468256448748902007-04-13T22:23:00.000+01:002007-04-13T22:23:00.000+01:00why doesn't the africa channel air through out the...why doesn't the africa channel air through out the U.S i hope there work on delivering it in every state because we are seriously missing out.Anonymous[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8686769.post-16056677523186178162007-04-12T20:37:00.000+01:002007-04-12T20:37:00.000+01:00Whatever happened to FSTV?
