There really is so substance or credible fact to that story...
Just returned from Gambia. The news there is of the Nigerian kidnappers who took an Australian tourist. The Nigerians are cooling their heels in a cell now so at least there was a 'happy' outcome.
Met a couple who had just left Guinee Bissau and arrived in Gambia. They reported that there were rumours of an attempted coup there by Colombian mercenaries. Nothing on the internet about this I can see though.
