Still, it probably isn't as safe as the dude in the first video said. But yes, I'm happy it's not as bad as people make it seem.

Jesus christ of nazareth. Wasting time on a hopeless place like a-j. na wa o. They even had to import foreign people to teach them the new skills. Na wa o. Not to mention the Igbo woman at the end (Nwa-something) marking me with her bullets. If una no gree tok English, 'spoke' ya own language.

I often drive in and around Ajegunle and only once have I ever felt threatened. That was when a group of thugs in a Danfo charged down the street, turned someones shop upside down scattering glass bottles all over the road and chrarged off again. It was pretty bizarre as the whole road just stopped and watched, hundreds of people standing out on their balconies / shop fronts, never seen the place so quiet!
It's just another overpopulated, under resourced part of Lagos but good to see that people in the community are making a difference.
The musical accompaniment to the start of the first YouTube video (Ajegunle.org) is the Beatle's Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da. Interesting, as there is a rumour that the song title has Nigerian ties.
Ajegunle is a location of great potential. It will take time and effort to bring all its possibilities to light
