Soyinka on lorry art
In the New Statesman recently. I've had this idea in the back of my mind for a while now - the danfo as canvas. Upcoming artists could use the danfo as a space for radical expression. Or, do a Tracey Emin, and put a decorated danfo in an art gallery - a danfo plastered with nudes, or a trompe l'oeuil danfo etc.

Most of the ones I see tell a story of conflicts. For instance;
i) Man praying while a lion leaps at him.
ii) Man on a tree tries to escape a snake but a lion is waiting on the ground
iii) A Daniel battles a Lion.
Badly written piece by Soyinka.
molue and ajaagbe (long lorries) used to be canvass for artistic and poetic expression, aint they anymore
